Richard A.
Mortensen, P.E.
Founder and principal. Graduate of
the University of Florida holding a
master's degree in geotechnical
engineering, Mr. Mortensen has
extensive experience in the environmental field
dating back to 1984, performing
comprehensive Phase I environmental
site assessments prior to the
establishment of standards in the
industry. Much of his early
assessment work involved excessive chlorinated
solvent contamination at facilities in
Lake Wales and Tampa, Florida, Greensboro, North
Carolina and Beltsville, Maryland. He
began his career in St. Louis,
Missouri. Mr. Mortensen exceeds the
requirements of the AAI rule to
qualify as an Environmental
Professional (EP). Florida-licensed
professional engineer (PE) (Lic. No.
34604).
Richard C.
Reynolds, REPA, LEP, EP/AAI
Associated with Mortensen
companies since 1991, Mr. Reynolds
manages LAS on a
daily basis and has performed hundreds
of Phase I environmental site assessments
and other environmental projects. Mr.
Reynolds holds a master's degree in
business from the University of South
Florida and had a 13-year banking
career prior to joining the firm. He
is a Certified Florida Environmental
Assessor (No. 63), Licensed
Environmental Professional (No. 92) and Registered
Environmental Property Assessor (No.
2855).
Mr. Reynolds exceeds the
requirements of the AAI rule to
qualify as an Environmental
Professional (EP).
LAS utilizes the workforce and
equipment of
sister company
Mortensen Engineering, Inc., Tampa,
Florida, in
support of its field activities.
Personnel includes experienced
registered professional engineers
(PE)
and geologist (PG), and scientists with
environmental backgrounds.
